Please refer to the "Club Handbook" page for answers to most questions on formats, organization, and general information. Here is a section directly from the Club Handbook as it relates to yesterdays events.... 3) When Play is Delayed: If play is delayed for any reason and all players cannot finish their rounds, the PGT has the right to cancel the tournament. If a full flight has completed a minimum of 9 holes, then the results in that flight will be official. If the tournament fails to be 9 holes, the players will be refunded their entry fees minus applicable course fees and a $10 administration fee.
All Players from Flights A and B finished 9 holes, and all Players from Flight C finished 12 holes. Play was suspended at approx 2:20 due to rain and unplayable greens, but we were able to resume at 2:55. A few thunderstom cells developed again at approx 5:15 and play had to be stopped for safety reasons. Too many storm cells were in the area and therefore play was cancelled shortly after when it was determined no more holes could be played due to weather and daylight. Weather bit us only for the second time this season. Problem is that it was here at Williams CC both times. The Staff at Williams has told me they will invite us back and give us a special discounted rate then, as a result of many players not being able to play all 18 holes. There is a good possibility of having the Tournament of Champions Event here on Oct 15 or 16, and we will know soon. If so, we can substantially reduce the entry fee and play for a larger prize purse.
