Avalon Lakes Results, PCS #14---Sunday July 11, 2021 (rained out)

 

It doesn't happen very often, but a relentless rain canceled the tournament at Avalon Lakes.  Forecast called for rain later in the day, but as soon as our first group teed off, the rain started and became heavy and steady.  Our final two groups only got 5 holes in when much of the course became unplayable.  We suspended play and were then notified that the course was closing for play.  The required number of holes were not completed, so this is not an official tournament and the WAC final will be on the makeup date as listed on the schedule with the same format (Sunday August 1 at Cranberry Highlands).

 

All paid players for the Avalon Lakes tournament will have that amount added to their PGT financial account, minus the green fee already paid to the course.  Rain checks for future play at Avalon (or any of the Avalon courses) will be issued.  A list will be kept indicating when each player was given their certificate.  We will start issuing the rain check certificates at the next tournament.

 

Since the WAC prize final has been pushed back to Aug 1, it is important for all prize winners that day to promptly redeeem their prize code with the World Am in order to process everything in time of the World Am tournament at the end of August.
